About Us
At Moppetland Publishing House, we believe every child deserves to see themselves at the heart of a story.
We create and publish emotionally rich, visually engaging books where Black children are the main characters. Not merely present, but radiant with power, wonder, joy, and depth. Our stories celebrate identity, imagination, and resilience, offering young readers mirrors of their own experiences and windows into new possibilities.
Founded by Pamela D. Arthur, a storyteller and educator passionate about inclusivity and emotional truth, this imprint is growing with purpose. While our current titles are written in-house, we’re preparing to open our doors to other authors whose work aligns with our mission. If you’re a writer with a story that uplifts and reflects the beauty of Black childhood, we’d love to connect as we expand.
Together, we’re building a literary space where representation isn’t an afterthought. It’s the foundation.
